This September marks a significant milestone for SolarAid as the organisation celebrates its 20th birthday, alongside one year since RS Group began supporting its work.
To recognise the occasion, teams across Trident Australia and RS will be getting involved in fundraising activities throughout September, helping to raise funds and awareness for SolarAid and the communities it supports.
For 20 years, SolarAid has been working to bring clean, safe and affordable solar light to communities without reliable access to electricity. Through its work across sub-Saharan Africa, SolarAid has helped distribute 2.5 million solar lights, reaching more than 13 million people.
Access to solar light can make a meaningful difference to everyday life, providing a safer and more affordable alternative to candles, kerosene lamps and other forms of lighting, while supporting families, education and local communities.
Throughout September, our teams will be taking part in a number of activities to support the birthday fundraiser, and we look forward to sharing some of these along the way.
