Trident Australia Welcomes Minister Paul Papalia to Showcase Defence Capability

Trident Australia was honoured to welcome Western Australian Minister Paul Papalia and Chief of Staff Nathan Brooks to our Canning Vale facility to showcase the infrastructure, technical capability, and skilled workforce that continue to support Australia's industrial, maritime, and defence sectors.

The visit brought together Trident Australia's senior leadership team, including General Manager Jono Hansen and Operations Manager Jacquie Gilpin, alongside representatives from our parent company, RS Group plc, including Asia Pacific President Sean Fredericks and General Manager Australia & New Zealand Dominik Puchert.

During the visit, Corporate Account Manager Davide Sirolli presented an overview of Trident Australia's defence journey, highlighting the significant progress the business has made in recent years and our ongoing commitment to supporting Australia's defence industry. The presentation explored Trident's capabilities across defence manufacturing, engineering, hose and fluid transfer solutions, calibration, testing, and sustainment services, together with our focus on supporting future naval shipbuilding, submarine sustainment, and broader AUKUS-related opportunities.

Discussions centred on the continued growth of Western Australia's defence sector, the opportunities being created through AUKUS, and the important role Australian industry plays in strengthening sovereign capability and supporting future defence programs.

Over the past 12 months, Trident Australia has continued to build its defence readiness through several strategic initiatives, including commencing the Defence Industry Vendor Qualification (DIVQ) process and the Australian Submarine Supplier Qualification (AUSSQ) program. These initiatives further position the business to contribute to future defence, maritime, and national security projects.

As part of the visit, Trident acknowledged the ongoing support provided by Defence West, the Henderson Alliance, and the Office of Defence Industry Support. Their commitment to developing Western Australia's defence industry continues to create valuable opportunities across naval shipbuilding, submarine sustainment, maritime capability programs, and the broader defence supply chain.

We also extend our sincere thanks to the many Defence representatives, government delegations, industry leaders, and distinguished guests who have visited our facility over the past year. Their engagement, guidance, and collaboration have been instrumental in supporting Trident Australia's continued growth within the defence sector.
