RT Bearing Material: 
We use a material call Orkot (manufacturer Trelleborg). Which is a resin-impregnated, fine weave fabric material with added lubricants. It is capable of withstanding high side loads, damping vibrations and embedded foreign particles.
CUSP & CULP Nitrocarburizing: 
Nitrocarburizing is a process that transforms the outer layer of steel, it hardens the surface, increases wear resistance and corrosion protection. It will not flake and cannot be scratched off. The process involves heating the steel component up in a furnace, then nitrogen, carbon and hydrogen are added to the furnaces atmosphere. An oxidation process then provides the corrosion protection and the black colour. This whole process normally takes 2-3 hrs after which the component is cooled. NOTE: With surface treatments such as chrome, as the coating builds in thickness, micro cracks form, leading to flaking & corrosion over time.
